    For years Gooralong Park was a popular a very popular public recreation area for BBQs, walks and even camping. Some years ago vehicle access to this wonderful place was cut off by CALM (now known as DEC or NPW). The excuse was that the pine trees were dangerous and could fall on unsuspecting visitors. this was YEARS AGO and NOTHING has been done to get this lovely place re-opened to the public. This a a complete disgrace and it is time to stop mucking about and get the park back into public use. The access road is starting to deteriorate and the toilets are being vandalised. Facilities like tables, seats and bins are all falling into disrepair and ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!
