Who knew this absolute gem of a place was here and so close to Perth!! My daughter has just had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic facility with their school camp. They have absolutely loved it and the school has made it their go to camp from now on! They loved the food, the friendly and helpful staff, they loved the gym and the adventure activities - all really excellent. The quiet bush setting and grounds are so beautifully kept. Good times and great memories!

Yes, we also agree the camp food and the catering staff were all good. However, after coming here to Serpentine for many years, our church and youth groups won't be coming back. The main reason being was the number of complaints from our campers about the black Portuguese Millipedes at this place. Those horrid little black worms are in plague proportions (!) and for some reason they leave all the campsite lights on at night. This just attracts even more of these pests by the millions. We made several complaints to the camp staff, but all they say is that there is nothing they could do about them. The Baptist Campsite down in Busselton is well worth driving the extra distance, besides its right on the ocean front.

What a shocking and embarrassing experience to work at this place! Was a casual employee thankfully for only a short while, and also built several sections of the low ropes challenge course here. Helped one poor casual staff member win his 'unfair dismissal' case with this place and its VERY strange staff management procedures! Was expected to Caretake this place on two weekends but had no idea of any of the policy & procedures or even where the light switches were, or any general practicalities of where everything was located. The water pumps broke down, so there was no water for a weekend. Their policy & procedures were very basic, with some basic policies like a Bush Fire Emergency & Evacuation Procedures were sadly 'missing in action'. Finding a copy for me to read 'prior' to the expectation of being responsible to Caretake this place for a weekend, sadly took over two weeks to even locate a copy for me following several requests. Often left in the dark with general daily questions with no answers offered until the next time the casual 'manager' was back on site? Casual staff were paid the absolute basic Minimum Award Wage, with even some staff not having been paid their annual incremental CPI rise each year for the past few years. I could only describe my 6 week experience here as a "very strange way to run a campsite". At that time, teamwork at this place could only be summed up as a dysfunctional team led by dysfunctional people with poor business management practices. Back then, the casual Manager could only be described as an ineffective and ineffectual control freak, of which sadly she lacked any professional clue about how to actually handle staff members like real human beings, without any care or compassion! Interestingly enough, for some strange reason she only lasted a very short while, then she was gone. Sadly, only after several other REALLY GOOD staff members had also resigned from this place. Having personally known and spoken with each of the previous Caretakers here over the past few decades, and all the reasons 'why' they each left, we also subsequently realized that we too also needed to move on. God moves in mysterious ways!

Provided a quality venue with excellent service to generations of people. This camping centre is home to some of my fondest memories. I have been a camper here, a camp leader here, and a camp director here, and each time I came back the staff were consistently helpful, and the team continually making improvements to the site. With all the facilities you could need, I would recommend Serpentine Camping Centre to everyone!

Really convenient to the city of Perth with some good facilities for school and church groups. My stay here was a year ago but I still have good memories and was glad of the experience. Love the pools.
